Deadline for this year’s PDN Faces Photo Contest is coming up! Enter before May 23, 2012 in any of the following categories:

• Animal Portraits
• Commercial/Editorial/Assignment
• Personal Work
• Babies/Children
• Self-Portraits

Winning images will be featured in PDN’s August issue and in an extended online gallery.

Entry fees are $35 for professionals, $15 for amateurs.

Lower semester student Heather Hendricks was selected as an Honorable Mention Finalist at the pdnedu Student Photo Contest 2012 with her black and white series “Farmers Markets”. Her pictures are being featured in pdnedu’s website and one of the images was printed in the Spring 2012 edition of pdnedu Magazine.

Graduate student Lori Kolbenschlag was selected as a finalist of the 32nd Annual Best of College Photography contest, organized by the Photographer’s Forum Magazine, from among 18,000 entries. Her picture will be printed along will all other finalists, honorable mentions, and winners at the 2012 Best of College Photography annual publication.

Lori Kolbenschlag. 1st place, Open

Graduate students Lori Kolbenschlag and Starr Petronella were selected as winners at the 2011 PPA Summer Shootout from among over 3000 contestants from all over the world.
Lori received the 1st. place in the Open category and Starr got 2nd. place in Portraiture.
