GTC Hosts Judging for International Professional Photography Competition

Contest will draw 50 professional photographers to campus
to judge more than 5,000 entries, June 14 – 17

WHAT: Gwinnett Tech is hosting the judging for the Professional Photographer’s of America International Print Competition from June 14 through June 17, drawing more than 50 professional photographers to campus to view and critique more than 5,000 entries submitted in the international competition, sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The submissions will be on display at Gwinnett Tech throughout the judging process which is open to the media.

Gwinnett Tech’s Commercial Photography students will be providing assistance during the judging process, adding to their professional and educational experience.

The PPA is an international, non-profit association for professional photographers, based in Atlanta, which exists to assist its 22,000 members in achieving their professional, artistic and fraternal goals; to promote public awareness of the profession; and to advance the making of images in all of its disciplines as an art, a science and a visual recorder of history.
