Shooting the Falcons

GTC Photo student Russell Stafford recently had the opportunity to photograph an Atlanta Falcons game from the sidelines.  Instructor Tami Chappell has made it a tradition to provide the credentials to one hard working student each year.  Russell was selected based on the high quality of his previously shot sports imagery.  Here’s what Russell had to say about the experience:

“The experience was fun as expected.  There is a definite challenge trying to keep up with the action.  Football at that level is extremely fast paced.  Knowing how to properly use the camera, with regards to autofocus settings and any other nuances of the camera, is a definite requirement.  The ability of a professional sports photographer is to be commended.”
